Before breakfast, Trevor and Helen Dixon organised an informal “pop-up” drive from Worrongary, with eight members taking the scenic route to the venue. It was a great opportunity to enjoy a short morning drive through the hinterland before joining the rest of the group for breakfast.
In total, 18 members gathered at The Manor to enjoy the warm hospitality and charming atmosphere of this unique Mount Tamborine destination. Nestled amongst beautiful gardens and rainforest surrounds, The Manor provided the perfect setting for a relaxed social gathering on a cool winter morning.
As always, the conversation flowed as freely as the coffee, with members sharing stories of recent club runs, future motoring adventures and, of course, everything MX-5. The open fire proved particularly popular, creating a cosy atmosphere that encouraged many to settle in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast and catch-up with friends.
Meet & Eat events continue to be an important part of Club life, providing opportunities for members to connect away from the driver’s seat while still enjoying the friendships and camaraderie that make the Club such a welcoming community. Whether arriving directly or joining the pop-up drive, everyone enjoyed a relaxed morning in excellent company.
A big thank you to Peter and Alison Cook for organising another successful Meet & Eat event, and to Trevor and Helen Dixon for arranging the pre-breakfast drive.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the next Meet & Eat.
