The MX-5 Owners Club SEQ is an incorporated association in Queensland (Incorporation No. IA4929399), operating under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld). The club also holds an Australian Business Number (ABN 19 371 071 403).
Incorporation provides a clear legal and governance framework for the club, ensuring it is managed in a transparent, accountable and responsible manner for the benefit of all members.
The Club is affiliated with Motorsport Australia and is committed to operating within recognised standards for enthusiast vehicle clubs and organised motoring activities.
To support the responsible management of club operations and events, the Club maintains Public Liability and Management Liability insurance coverage.
Management Committee
The day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the club are overseen by an elected committee, made up of members who volunteer their time to support the club and its activities.
The elected Management Committee comprises:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Run Captain
- Event Captain
- Marketing & Communications Manager
In addition the committee is supported by the following elected roles:
- Membership Officer
- Merchandise Officer
Committee members are elected by the membership at a General Meeting and serve in accordance with the Club Rules.
Meetings
- An Annual General Meeting is held each year
- General Meetings and Special General Meetings may be convened as required
- Voting, quorum and proxy arrangements operate strictly in accordance with the Rules
