On behalf of the Management Committee, I’m excited to announce the selection of our MX-5 Owners Club SEQ logo, developed to reflect the identity and future direction of our club.
The design process lead by Bill Dunk focused on capturing our core values — driving enjoyment, community, inclusiveness and the unique lifestyle of South East Queensland. Inspiration was drawn from MX-5 heritage, automotive club design, and the South-East Queensland environment, including its coastal and outdoor character.
The logo delivers a clean, modern and highly recognisable design, with a strong emphasis on the MX-5 identity, particularly the “5”, while incorporating subtle elements that reflect our region and club culture. It has been created to work effectively across all applications, from social media and digital platforms to club merchandise such as shirts and caps.

This logo provides a consistent and distinctive visual identity as we continue to grow the club and build a strong, connected MX-5 community across South East Queensland.
So what is next,
- The development of a Logo and Brand Identity Handbook (Style Guide) to ensure the correct use of the club’s logo and colours by the committee, it’s members and supporters.
- The inclusion of the club logo into club’s Rules and By-Laws
- The inclusion of the club logo onto our Facebook page
- Continued development of the club’s website to include an event calendar and registration portal for members.
- Development of the club’s promotional and new member recruitment material, like club business card & windscreen stickers.
- Merchandise development, such as polos, caps, jackets and or hoodies.
Lastly, we have just received confirmation, that Motorsport Australia will consider our application for affiliation at their Board meeting scheduled for Thursday the 23rd of April.
